I'd say x is a near guard. You have to be directly under the guy for it to work. It's essentially a deep half variation.

This is just called 'butterfly guard' (or it used to be before marcelo garcia's seated guard took the name), and it is a very basic guard with many sweeps and submissions. It is oldschool
