  11. If stipe had a young son, like 3 or 4 years old and he beat him, nobody would expect his son to be able to stop stipe. He would be the 'underdog'. But if 20 years passed and his son was 23, and stipe was a weak old man, then most people would expect his son to be able to beat him up pretty easily. That's why Ngannou is the favorite despite losing to stipe. It's the same concept.

  12. Many aren't expecting Stipe to be able to take the same shots he ate in the first fight after his wars with DC. I'm surprised Ngannou's leg kicks that he showed in the JDS fight aren't talked about much, especially since JDS hurt Stipe with leg kicks in their second fight.

  18. I think this really comes down to the fact that Francis has only had 2 minutes worth of fight time in the last 2 years. We just can't know how much he's improved, and it also makes it more unlikely that his wrestling has improved enough to defend against a goat like Stipe. Unless thats all hes focused on since then. His KO power is as much a blessing as it is a curse.

  22. Perfect breakdown. It’s real simple. Can Stipe sustain a few serious shots to get in and wear him out? If yes Stipe wins. Can Francis land one of his nukes cleanly while still fresh? If yes he probably can win…. basically it depends on Stipes chin.

    That dipping Stipe does worries me though… if he gets Francis down I think he’s gotta try for a submission or some serious ground and pound.

  23. I have a bigger heart rate when only watching this analysis :))))) I hope Stipe gets the KO or TKO, but I am always afraid for him because he is one of my favorite fighters.

  28. You still don't know how Miocic is the underdog you said?
    Because it's unfair to have this much power in one man.
    Miocic is the better fighter, but with the 4-6 oz gloves Nganou will always be the angel of death

  38. Man I just went back and watched the 1st fight, I forgot how lackluster it was. Also forgot how much Stipe got tagged. I was also underwhelmed by Stipe's grappling, never got any significant gnp off or a serious submission attempt.
