This is another drill that will really help get the basics of a guard pass / mount with a butterfly guard retention. It’s practice. It’s drilling. And guess what – drilling works. Get someone you trust and try this routine 50 times in a row. Then see how you feel? And then do it again, again and again. There is a lot to this. Much more than perhaps the simplicity might imply.
