one of the greatest
Great breakdown. Dominick Cruz was one of the best MMA fighters to ever exist. Interesting fighter with unorthodox style.
Nostalgia
Dominick Cruz was a like a phantom in the cage but you know he's a ninja on the dancefloor
Calf Kicks
this needed to be 20 mins long.
Cruz is a sign that more fighters need to use pivots defensively. Without large gloves fighters are stuck with bad high guards, pull backs and slips.
Step 1 be taller step 2 flee constantly step 3 avoid the top guys when they're in their prime or just never fight them altogether like barao, assuncao, rivera, dillashaw rematch etc.
This was the first content of yours I watched years ago
Cruz’s footwork looks like the back button on his controller is jammed and he keeps trying to put himself in position again
What's the song used?
Muh 10million patterns when all he really does is hard pivot away.
This is how you get chronic plantar fasciitis and multiple knee injuries.
Are you Firas?
Still a classic from back in the day
who has the best footwork in the ufc (might be a good poll for you to run, Mr. Scout)
If he hadn't had hurt his leg, oh man.
People who haven't watched his early career wonder why this guy is so full of himself.
I wish you had included the dance off between TJ & Cruz
When I first saw him fight and warming up with these while the announcer was still sounding off before the fight started I thought he was doing toprock.
Music ?
I mean Henry just chopped his legs during their whole fight. Even TJ had some success with it but just wanted to head hunt for a finish. Cruz isnt going to do well with the Calf kick meta. His body is already half Robocop and he's MMA old. This was great to see but unfortunately I just think he's part of a by gone era.
awesome! I can't believe Cruz was downgraded to prelims
Dam too bad Cruz has only 5 fights in the last 10 years and missed out on his prime :(. He’s turning 36 next week and even if he is healthy he’ll likely never be this fast again.
Dream shake!
@BJJSCOUT, how does he control distance? Thanks!
