This video I discuss the concept of single sleeve control. This is commonly one of the first grips you get in jiu jitsu as your opponent needs to use his hand to commit to making a grip which always makes a sleeve available. This position is a starting point for transitioning into most open guards in BJJ such as Collar Sleeve, Spider/Double Sleeve, Cross Sleeve DLR, Cross Guard, Romulo Guard, Reverse DLR and more.
