In a recent video. I discussed various awesome techniques to stop your training partners passing your guard. Each one of them works incredibly well. One of those was using ‘stiff arms’ – this means locking your arms out so that it is ‘structure’ not ‘muscle’ that is holding back your opponent. Believe me – it’s massively powerful. Ok, but like everything in Jiu-Jitsu – there are counters, and counters to your counters. And so it is with this move. Now if your training partner has watched my ‘guard retention’ series.
