The answer is. A top teir grappler who developed a style that showed the lack of leg lock knowledge in top level mma but, who took fights a little too far mentally. I do believe he is a nice person but he gets into a “fight mentality” in which he just throws human decency out the window which, in all reality is what is expected and what you are told to do however, he took it a little too far. That being said apparently he’s reformed now so thats good to hear

Palhares is very misunderstood. No doubt he's dirty but if you meet him it just seems different…hes a great training partner, well liked (besides those that fight him) and an innovative jiu jitsu fighter. More so than he's just a dirty bully, I think he feels he has to flip the switch to become very aggressive and hurt the person during the fight. Can't make any conclusions without talking to him though.
