I agree with Tonon. It's good to give people the option to get some exercise if they want to. No one is forcing anyone to exercise. It's up to the individual to decide if they want to. Quinine combined with Zinc is effective in helping prevent any viral infection. It also helps speed up getting over a virus if one already has been infected then uses Quinine & Zinc after.

I’m super disappointed in Garry, but I get where Hes coming from. What we need is a basic income that covers workers and business owners so that they can make the responsible choice to stay home

Wow, and I thought Tonon was a cool cat. You gotta be an idiot to think the way he thinks about this situation.

Why is this even a discussion… Your gym should have been closed last Sunday like we did in Quebec. People do not understand how this disease works. You could be infected and not show symptoms until 25 days later at most. Wake up and stop doing BJJ before you become responsible for killing someone or destroying our economy in turn.

It's closed, since it's legally obligated. And that is honestly a no brainer. Keenan is right, training bjj with a bunch of people is the opposite what you ought to do right now.
People dont realize, you can get infected with SARS-CoV-2 by merely sitting on a train 1 row in front/behind a person without major symptoms for an hour, no cough, no sneeze, nothing, just breathing the air of a person that looks and feels quite well. And now you want to grapple with >10 ppl, where you breathe 10 cms apart from each other and on mats with sweat from even more people …
For most bjj practioners (young, fit), the disease itself is not that big of a deal, but you basically roll a 100 sided dice, if you're the one who needs hospitalization. And if you're that person, you better hope everyone is practicing social distancing, because if this spreads too fast, hospitals will be out of capacity and your very good chance to survive this turns into a very small one. And now think about elderly persons, or persons with asthma … There is no real way to stop the virus from spreading, but there are things we need to do to slow it down, and one of them is to avoid contact for the next weeks, until a major portion of the population is immune (via surviving the disease).

The experts say it will take 1.5 years until a vaccine is ready and that's assuming a good pace. So what are we going to do? Shut down everything for 1.5 years? Or just accept that we are all going to be exposed to it and focus resources on the ones who need ventilators to make it through? The latter sounds better to me.

No discussion, stay in home. Tonon thinking in keeping the gym open in his turf of ny/nj is stupid.

Also, when the khabib-mcg post fight study?

Tonon is a selfish moron. Ever heard of "flatten the curve" and "raise the bar" during the outbreak?
