While there is a limit to how much the average body can take rolling in one day or in short bursts. The limit on studying BJJ and deeply learning the art of Jiu Jitsu is much higher. And so while, I try to continue to improve my ability on the mat…I also, spend hours upon hours studying Jiu Jitsu off the mat. Doing this, I think, provides an advantage for myself as a competitor but more importantly, it ensures that I am giving my best for my students. And guess what, you can do this too! You can spend time off the mat, reviewing BJJ and really drilling down on techniques, approaches and new ways of thinking in this wonderful game. And everyone that I know that does this has an incredible leap forward in their abilities on the mat as well. Get to it guys. You can reap the same benefits. Let me know your thoughts.
