  2. Gordon is best no gi guy but if he tried to compete in UFC 185 205 or HW divisions all I can picture is him getting lit tf up. Maybe get a couple mid level wins but eventually get lit up and stopped for sure. At least that's how I see it.

  8. Keenan is right that eventually mma fighters all get knocked out.
    But isn’t it better to show u have the courage to risk getting knocked out than show that u are a coward who let’s fear stop him fighting?

    Getting knocked out sucks(well I was stopped from hematoma once & another time a broken cheek. So I wasn’t knocked out but I got beat up.) but it isn’t the end of the world.
    I’d feel much worse if everyone knew I lacked courage & the let the fear of getting knocked out consume me.
    Personally I couldn’t live with that.

    If Gordon gets to 10-0 & makes millions and

    & wins a ufc belt (a big IF for sure) then will retiring at 20-2 having been knocked out at the end erase the fact that he’s rich, has mainstream fame and is admired by fighters the world over?

    A lot more remember bj penn as a fighter than as a bjj champ.
    Right or wrong in a few years Keenan will be done competing either way and he’ll be irrelevant in bjj as well as mma.
    He’ll be the old guy teaching classes where kids think “oh not this old crap again”.
    At least if he won in mma he’d have kids wanting his autograph when he’s 80 and die rich.
    He may not get that in mma. I sure didn’t.
    But I’d rather die knowing I had balls and that I tried.

  9. John Danaher did revolutionize the game but the " old ways" are still used by guys like Kron Gracie….Vinny Mag…..Estima Bros….on and on….these guys aren't leg lock guys and they consistently beat leg lock specialists….

    Like he clearly said he will eventually get koed so will Gordon. Do you think your Ju Jitsu will work all the time against high lvl wrestlers in MMA? Gordon has some wrestling but he won’t get to the level of top ufc fighters from wrestling background have in terms of mma grappling period.

  23. I think leg locks ruined jiu jitsu for the most part. I hate rolling with someone who constantly goes for leg locks. They don't even try passing your guard they'll just wrap your legs up right away and if you're sitting they just try to scoop your legs up and get it instead of trying to pass.
