  16. These techniques were removed from judo for good reason hell hooks, ankle locks and knee bars were all removed, only attacks to the neck or arm were allowed. The former techniques are all potential career Enders.

  20. Not gonna lie, as I get more immersed in bjj, I’m slowly realizing that I’d rather just train gi than risk getting heel hooked. It never seems to take a whole lot to screw up the knee in general with training, much less having someone isolate it and wrench it in a way it was never intended to go. Much respect to Jones. He enters so smoothly and next thing you know, you’re in a submission.

    It’s not very polite to have your hair in my face, mouth and eyes. I’m an old hat, 43 and been at this shit years ago. Pedro Sauer was a young guy when I was training Judo and BJJ.. but back in the day if you came into where we trained (especially judo) if you let your hair out of control we would use it as one more thing to choke you with.
