An Awesome Kesa Gatame – With Americana Submission

This really is a powerful submission – the Kesa Gatame – With Americana Submission. Getting into it is a lot easier than you might think and it uses your opponents natural ‘bias’ (to get an underhook), with a little bit of timing. This feeds into the Kesa Gatame. Of course, when someone has you in a great Kesa or headlock control. What do many (particularly beginners) do? they push away, this provides the opening for this rather cool and extremely powerful submission. Go easy on this one guys. You can do some damage real quick before your opponent has time to tap. Give it a try on the mat (carefully) and let me know how it goes…
