The Awesome Kesa Gatame!

Kesa Gatame is the Japanese for Head lock control. We can often end up in this position if our opponent or training partner looks for an underhook when on the bottom. That is an opportunity to grab his other arm and pull it up, kick your left leg through to be under his tricep…while you get under his head with your other arm. Then all of sudden your training partner is staring down Kesa Gatame! and it’s not a great position to find yourself in. There are many submissions from here…
