Just do the obvious. Take your ass to Dagestan and stay there for a year and come back transformed and ready to wrestle. Gotta be able to take it the ground to use that great jits

I think it's cool that Rickson is the father of Kron, however its a fighting game and you must evolve, I am no MMA expert, I have been training Jiu-Jitsu for 9 years, but if I had the same mindset of Kron, on only training at my gym and sticking to the techniques I believe are good then that itself would limit my growth in a huge way!

Kron should learn the modern Jiu-Jitsu, like the DDS guys, & get some wrestling in since his takedown attempt resulted in a guard pull recovery.

Let's hope his standup game improves. Rooting for Kron but his own thoughts limit his growth.

Say what you want about the Gracies, but their jiu jitsu is the most effective in mma fights. That’s why fighters avoid going to the ground like the plague with Brian Ortega and Kron Gracie

He was only a hype train because of his dad. If he wasn’t a Gracie people wouldn’t pay that much attention.

Pretty smart to not want to destroy your body for others can feel good about themselves, instead of making money for your efforts. I thought he held his own in the fight for just coming on the scene in the UFC.

Just abit dumb throwing him in against Cub so early tbh….second UFC fight and your fighting Cub…. you're not gonna win

  14. Sean Ó Briain says

    October 15, 2019 at 9:41 am

Kron is a good guy. Hopefully he will learn from his loss and work on his takedowns and boxing more. What he does have however that you can't learn is mental toughness. He showed a lot of heart in his fight with Cub.

People had this ridiculous idea that his striking and jiujitsu would be on par with Brian Ortega. Which was a ridiculous assumption to begin with hence him coming in as a favorite

Sure, he didn't win this time but all I see is a bunch of knee-jerk reactions and Gracie hate. I'm still high on Kron in MMA. All this talk is just crazy.

  24. Steve Rubio says

    October 15, 2019 at 5:06 pm

His jijujutsu is fenomenal but he refuse to believe that this is not 1997 when stomp kick and amateur double leg takedown works everytimes.

  25. Tunti Turpaan says

    October 15, 2019 at 5:19 pm

Kron should to go train at AKA. He desperately needs a way to bring the fight to the ground where he has an advantage over most opponents. Kron doesn't have the lifetime of boxing skills that Diaz brothers do, so their style of plodding forward like a zombie and throwing hands isn't going to get him the results that he needs.

One fight, and we are talking about this? guys think about how long he has been at this and just finished 3 rounds with Cub, thats almost good as a win.

  28. Operators For the greater good says

    October 15, 2019 at 8:49 pm

Bullshit depression doesn't exist if you know God Kron has everything he needs. Cub was running away the whole fight he was the The first one bleeding and we all saw his face when T city was choking him scared to death good jujitsu please that's why he was running he has no jujitsu in my opinion Kron Gracie won that fight the punches didn't slow him down going for takedowns and good stand up now let's stop this Gracie oppression. Kron do what you do best The skating was never going to pan out you could still be 399 undefeated no pressure but all us Gracie practitioners live vicariously through you now go do your best and mighty forces will come to your aid Love God with all your soul and might. Oss! ???

I can’t stand all the “hype train” talk…whether its about kron, askren, McGreggor or whoever…what is wrong with the UFC promoting and fans being excited about an athlete? If they win or lose it’s not like their career is over, a loss=learning opportunity. So everyone upset about hype trains…here’s some advice…deep breaths and enjoy these talented athletes willing to risk it all to put on a show for you

  30. Albert Olmos says

I strongly sympathize with Kron. There were captions that alluded to his state of mind. People that have lost immediate family members either to death or separation become changed forever. Very similar to what war veterans, police, and fire personnel experience when they encounter death and or severe stress. Kron did not ask to be the offspring of a legendary fighter whom people put on a pedestal. He knows and has stated his truth and I will leave it at that. These severe reactions come from that place trauma the victim does not even know what hit them as their mind seems to be out of sorts (derealization) freaks people the HELL out. Everyday this happens only to be told its not physical. And finally in my humble opinion I dont see Kron "Hyping" himself up, maybe others have but I dont see any nonsence coming from him. He is a man that fights like those of his predecessors. God bless you Kron, you keep doing what you want…

  31. Dave says

    October 16, 2019 at 12:02 am

He was hype? Since when? Dude is 31 and fought nobody until last week. Only a small group of Gracie cult was amping him up. Nobody outside that circle felt that way

  35. john wayne says

    October 16, 2019 at 4:35 am

wow BJJ is like a cult, sort of like veganism. The levels of coping from you BJJ cucks is hilarious.

Reminder: Kron is 31 years old, Cub is 36 years old in two weeks. Cub lost 4 fights in a row before this fight. Cub's last win was two and a half years ago. The last time Cub finished an opponent was in 2013….against Dennis Siver. Kron had a size advantage.

Literally the only people I knew that went into BJJ (rather than boxing, wrestling, muay thai etc.) were wimps and geeks. All you guys making excuses for Kron are delusional – the only 'safe' sport you compete in is what defines you, and you can't stand your cult figures being exposed, because deep down you know it exposes you too. Wimps. Catch yas later, lol!

If you're going to be a specialist, a BJJ specialist is the worst one you can pick. He needs to learn how to strike and setup takedowns or else he'll a prelim fighter in no time.
