His BJJ Coach Passed Away & He’s Lost the Fire for Training

His BJJ Coach Passed Away & He’s Lost the Fire for Training

Today’s video question is about a tough topic. The passing of a mentor.

The question comes from a young guy who’s been training for a while now and recently lost his BJJ coach to an illness.

He said he’s torn between 2 extremes. On 1 hand he wants to honor his coach with hard training and focus on his Brazilian Jiu-jitsu skills. But at the same time he’s down in the dumps, wants to grieve and doesn’t feel like training hard.

So in the video I share some ideas about losing loved ones. I haven’t lost a coach before, but I imagine the feelings are similar.

If you’re experiencing something similar, then I hope the video is useful with navigating the situation.
