Producing a Perfect Cover Photo

I struggled for over 14 months with what I would put on the cover of my book. Then it hit me like a bucket full rocks: a lever!

When I brought the idea to the publisher they liked the idea, and they went online and found a bunch of stock lever photos, but quite frankly, I wasn’t impressed. I asked them if they could hire a professional team to produce the cover they said no. 🥲 So rather than end up with some whack cover on my first book, I decided I would produce the cover with team at Gracie University HQ

Racquel went to the beach to collect a bunch of rocks to choose from, and Eddie found a perfect piece of scrap wood. We used some paper for the makeshift backdrop, and after several fails we finally balanced the rocks perfectly and got THE shot I dreamt of.
