Combat Jiu Jitsu Worlds is this weekend and I’m ultra pumped to be involved once again! I’ll be doing commentary alongside my man TJ Desantis. In anticipation, I’m gonna be breaking down some footage of a few of our combatants.

This was an INSANE matchup between Sheridan Moran and Nick Honstein from the Combat Jiu Jitsu tournament at EBI 11.

The regulation period was fast paced and it was back and forth. The OT was totally up for grabs. Watch what happens when Nick Honstein grabs the Twister and goes for the finish!

Slick Deep Half Counter that I originally saw from @billthegrillcooper on his Deep Half Guard Killer set. I’m using a different grip here. We call this the Pretzel Grip ? It’s a great way to create the Marcelotine style attack without the flexibility sometimes required through the shoulder. Hope you guys enjoy this. I always love being a part of Warrior Week.

Our role is pretty simple: make them suffer. Take them out of their element. Make them panic. Push them to their physical limits.

They come to us for 3 hours each day for a week and that’s what we do.

They’ve got a lot of other activities going on during the week, as well; none of that is under our supervision.

It’s amazing to see what a powerful tool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be for improving your outlook, your relationships, your health, and your overall life.
