This video I overview the Leg Drag control, often people think of the leg drag as just a guard pass, but its actually an extremely powerful control that can branch into so many other positions ( Back Takes, Crab Rides, Passes, Berimbolo ) Once you master this system its so easy to find it from everywhere and makes finishing the match super easy.

The diving back take is often seen as a flashy move, but it is also extremely useful. Your opponent is usually expecting you to pass the guard so they defend in a specific way, but when you chain your attacks to threaten the back from top it off sets so many movements they use to defend. This video I give a fast guide to understanding these attacks and how to use them.

This video I overview the idea of side tilting in guard. A lot of people play their guard flat on there back, and this can be very useful, but often playing on your side allows for many benefit. On your side it is easier to maintain distance, it is difficult for your opponent to flatten you to finish their pass, and you have a lot of momentum for setting up attacks. This can also make it easier to set up back takes, berimbolos, and matrix attacks.

Almost every submission requires you to be able to break your opponents posture. However this can be incredibly hard to do when you are fighting a strong opponent who constantly deadlifts. This video I go through my method for breaking down my opponents posture which allows me to start setting up submissions and sweeps.

This is a slick back take Meregali uses a lot that I have found massively helps when trying to pass a flexible guard. #bjj #jiujitsu
This Video Espen Mathiesen shows one of the most effective diving back takes I have ever seen in jiu jitsu. Not only is this an effective way to pass the guard of an extremely flexible opponent, but it is extremely easy to use, very flashy to watch. I hope you like the video and be sure to comment and let us know what you would like to see next.

The Matrix is one of the most powerful attacks from the open guard. This video I discuss how to combine it with an omoplata and triangle attack. The triangle and omoplta are 2 of the most foundational attacks in jiu jitsu, but both are often countered by an opponent strong posturing out of the position. The matrix works perfectly for attacking the back at the exact moment your opponent postures, for my full overview of the matrix check out my video here. https://youtu.be/NjF4195IuW0

This video I go over the benefits and multiple uses of the tricep grip. The tricep grip is one of my favorite tools for attacking submissions because it makes it so difficult for your opponent to maintain his elbow knee connection to defend triangles and armbars. Its also a great way to control your opponents posture and set up sweeps from butterfly and berimbolos.
