You might have seen me use this in rolling. It’s a fantastic submission and offers a level of leverage that the regular footlock does not have. It catches people by surprise and is very effective in competition. Watch the video. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

A QUICK ROLL with 7 of my BLUE BELT Students!
I try and roll in a long sequence with my students where they come in fresh one after the other after I’ve had a good rolling session during class. Omoplata’s are super effective and deadly to use on the mat. But like everything…they don’t always work. Sometimes due to a number of circumstances you just can’t seem to finish them. Mount ESCAPE Straight Into A FOOTLOCK!
An easy mount escape – straight into a footlock. I love this as being mounted is a really tough spot to be in…and to turn that around into a tap is fantastically rewarding. The DOUBLE Collar CHOKE From The BACK!
