Hey guys this video is the last one in the Far Side Collar Sleeve series for now. It’s a great attack when the guy drops to one knee or both knees and keeps the elbow tight. Let me know what questions or difficulties you have.

This Armbar Setup is so simple yet so effective. The reason being is it’s unexpected and is so easy to do you are just relying on the person reaching past your center line than attacking.
Having longer limbs I am able to create a ton of momentum with my legs. You can still do this if you are shorter but it’s just easier with long legs.
I started going under the legs all the time to finish because when I set the Armbar up like this I would almost stack the person on top of Me or I was in a position where I was already being stack like the can opener. Than I would have to figure out how to get out from under my opponent.
So what I would start doing is going under and mixing it with the Armbar sweep where you hook the leg and kick down towards the floor. One of them will work and I stay on the arm until it does.

Follow up on the Far Side Collar Sleeve series. Last video we covered the Omoplata, this video we are going into the Triangle Set Up, kicking the opponents far leg out is really shocking and difficult to defend. Hope you guys like the video let me know your questions and comment.

Hip mobility is one of the most important elements in having a guard that is not only tough to pass, but one that is effective in attacking when going for submissions.
The ability to have mobile hips will allow for improved guard retention, improved positioning, improved submissions, and REDUCED risk of knee injury.
The hips are so important and are crucial in all aspects of BJJ. This active hip mobility sequence is not only an excellent warm-up, but it will work wonders in improving your hip mobility, leg flexibility, and will ultimately improve your jiu-jitsu while helping to reduce the risk of low back, hip, and knee injury.

This is a continuation on the Far Side Collar Sleeve position. In my previous video I provided an over view of the position. In this video I’m starting to go deeper on the controls set ups and introducing the first main attack from the position, the omoplata. The Omoplata from the position is extremely difficult to defend because on the far side it is very difficult for the guy to keep his elbow tight. Watch the previous video as well with the title “Extremely Dangerous Guard Most people don’t know”. If you like the video please like and comment if you have questions or requests.

Far Side Collar Sleeve is a variation of normal collar sleeve but most people have not had much experience with it. It’s a very powerful guard to add into your arsenal.
