When passing the open guard often your opponent will put their feet in your biceps to control space. This detail of putting your wrist on their shin makes it easy to clear the foot off the bicep.
I break this passing system down even more on my website here

Going into a low tension state right before exploding to execute a technique makes it so much more difficult for your opponent to predict your moves and make you feel significantly stronger.
The Dope Mount is used consistently in gi, no gi, and MMA grappling to climb directly into mount through your opponent’s guard. The legwork is in four steps as follows…
1) Turn his legs to one side and split them apart
2) Bring your front side knee between his legs and all the way up to his butt
3) Bring your back side knee to his lower back
4) Now climb your front side knee to his belly
If you combine this legwork with an underhook on his upper body (or even two underhooks which is even more powerful) then you end up in a devastatingly effective mount position
In this video, I break down the components of guard passing into 4 stages. It’s always super helpful to look at the broad concept what you are trying to accomplish in Jiu Jitsu so I also go into detail of how to practically apply these components to you game.
