Countering the SINGLE LEG Takedown Into the KIMURA Trap!
The single leg takedown is a great takedown technqiue and maybe the most used in grappling. But there are a number of great counters and this particular one places you into a fantastic kill position. I use it often and my students have used it, with positive results, in competitions. Take a look and give it a try. Let me know how it goes.
HALF GUARD Technique FROM an AWESOME RCJ Blackbelt!
When I get caught in a half guard – no problem. I just change shape. And that usually solves much of the problem and enables me to get out and back in control. Not so with this awesome RCJ Blackbelt! Watch this little trick. Easy to do and very effective.

A Quick Roll with Some Students!

In Jiu-Jitsu we often start from our Knees. But this technique works from the knees or from standing. Does not matter. Get the throw, if it doesn’t work…move straight into an Armbar. It’s incredibly effective and can end the roll/match within seconds. A couple of my students did exactly that in a recent competition. Check out the video and try it yourself on the mat.
