Black-Belt/Adult/Male/Medium-Heavy – Semifinal
I was asked this question on reddit. He stated every time he goes for the arm drag from guard he is getting to high up on the back. Are there any ways to fix this problem of getting up too high?
It’s easy to lose position if you are climbing over top your opponent. A few things we need to do. The most important is getting lower after you get the arm drag. You’ll see what I mean in the video. Once I started doing this I was able to take the back more effectively without the risk of going over the top.
P.S. no liabilities

Take-downs can be very hard to execute against an experienced opponent. We tend to be very tunnel visioned and try get straight to the point. Often times we telegraph our intentions too much and give our opponent time to react and defend.
Watch Kit use this collar-tie to fake his intentions and successfully get
the snap down.

This is what you shouldn’t do after winning a match. A few examples anyways…
Credit to both of the robs for coming up with the skits in this video. I thought of the idea and they ran with it. Gave me a good laugh while creating the video haha hopefully you got one as well?
