And I’ve been super lucky to have the Legend – Prof Roger Machado himself talk over the technique for you guys. I hope you love it. Try it out on the mat and let me know how it goes.

A Quick Roll with Some Students!
This is a quick video of me rolling with a few of my students. It was fun and thought it would be nice to share. I always allow my competitor students to get more rolling in with me after class and by the end of rolling with them once or twice back to back no rest with fresh guys, I am spent!

A STANDING Throw with an ARMBAR FINISH!
We did a video recently with the starting ‘from knees’ position. The technique works just as well from a throw. You can set it up so that you are thrown but end the match quickly with an armbar. Starting from knees: TAKEDOWN/ARMBAR combo!
In Jiu-Jitsu we often start from our Knees. But this technique works from the knees or from standing. Does not matter. Get the throw, if it doesn’t work…move straight into an Armbar. It’s incredibly effective and can end the roll/match within seconds. A couple of my students did exactly that in a recent competition. Check out the video and try it yourself on the mat. Let me know how you go.

How to ESCAPE North South & Finish with a TRIANGLE!
The north-south position is very common in Jiu Jitsu. Certainly it is in my academy! But the counter to it is far easier than people tend to think. What’s even better about this escape is that you can land directly into a triangle. Check out the video. Give it a try on the mat and let me know how it goes.
