One of the best early responses to a triangle choke attempt is a good, solid posture up. The hips drive forward, the back straightens and often the threat of the choke is destroyed in an instant.

That’s not the end of the battle for the finish though.

And recently, I realized that there was an opportunity there to punish opponents for doing a good thing. And in this video, you will learn exactly what I’m doing now.

It is a very common misconception that you cannot finish the triangle from the opposite side.

Here is why this technique works. By their hand being on the opposite side of the body and you locking your hands over top of your knee it will create enough pressure to get the tap.also by making a lock on your knee their hand cannot escape the position.
