Last week I showed you one of my favorite Armbars in BJJ which involves a sneaky setup they won’t feel coming. Well, today is another step onto that armbar. In today’s video I’m going to show you an even sneakier setup that I use from Back Mount that finishes in Side Control.

In the video I talk about how this submission setup came to be. And even if you don’t use the specific armbar I’m showing, the method behind how I developed it can be super useful. If you take this idea home with you I believe you can use it to develop any position in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. It will also help you develop a system of techniques that will be your own.

“Here’s a SNEAKY SETUP for a TRIANGLE CHOKE that will catch your opponent slipping.
Just when he thinks he’s escaping Omoplata danger, he’s right into a triangle choke.
This is for when we attempt a triangle but his posture and base is too strong.
We’ll tire our guard out chasing this triangle but we can use this OMOPLATA to get back to the triangle.”

Elbow CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations) are joint circles used to improve the capacity that you elbow and forearm can move in. This technique can help in reducing stiffness and pain, while improving range of motion in the elbow joint.

Its a very useful warm-up.

Complete 5 repetitions per side.
