In order to pass your guard your opponent needs to invade the space between your knee and your elbow, so use elbow-knee connection to deny him that space. In this video I use BFR (Blood Flow Restriction) on the legs with BJJ solo drills for an added intensity and difficulty to my workout.
Perform 4 rounds of 5 minutes (1 minute per drill) with 1 minute rest in between rounds.
The BFR cuffs made by https://saga.fitness/ are the ones that I recommend.

This video I go over the 5 biggest guard passing Mistakes. Passing the open guys is one of the hardest things in jiu jitsu because there is so many types of guard and body types. However there are some core principles that when you understand them make a huge difference in your ability to pass. Be sure to check out my passing play list for more specific systems for passing open guard positions.

Today’s video is a Half Guard sweeps drilling video. This is some of the things I’m working on with my classes and I figured I’d share them with you as well.
In the video you’ll see 7 different Half Guard sweeps or techniques used. And the way we do it is after the sweep or technique is used the other person will regain their half guard and then the sequence restarts. This keeps the action moving and keeps it more engaging for both people.
If you’re a Half Guard player or trying to get better at the position, I hope the sweeping drills help.

Today’s video is based off a situation that happened with one of my brand new White Belts recently and my corrections I gave to him And it’s something I’ve done before. It’s also something I’ve seen a lot of newcomers to BJJ do as well.
The basic idea is that when you’re drilling a technique in BJJ for the first little bit. You want to be as fluid as possible to get the movement set. You don’t want to tense up and muscle everything. This is super important for newer Brazilian Jiiu-jitsu White Belts who try to go super fast or muscle things.
Not to say you’ll never need to muscle anything. But the idea is that if we train our Jiu-jitsu techniques to be as perfect as possible during the learning phase of the technique. Later when we are rolling and the natural stress of rolling creates a little sloppiness the technique will be good enough to hold up.
Hope the tip in the video helps!

There are just a couple ways to finish the Darce, like all submissions, so the key is to catch entrances!
This is an awesome drill I do with kids and adults!
