Elisabeth Clay is a four-time IBJJF no gi world champion and a six-time IBJJF no gi pan champion who first burst on to the scene by winning ADCC Trials at just 16 years old. Elisabeth is currently preparing for a trilogy match with Brianna Ste-Marie at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10.
Jits Magazine spoke to Elisabeth about her upcoming match with Brianna and she reflected on their previous two meetings. She also shed some light on how she managed to make a return to elite competition less than 3 months after welcoming her first child, and spoke about the beginning of her Jiu-Jitsu journey in Alaska.

Today’s video question comes from a BJJ Black Belt who said he feels McDojo.
He said at his previous Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym he achieved a black belt in 7 years based off attendance. Now, he trains at a new gym and isn’t up to the skill of the BJJ practitioners there.
At this point the black belt is ruining his Jiu-jitsu training and completely sucking the fun out of it for him. To the point where he went from 4-5 days a week at his old gym to 1-2 days at the new gym, and if he does train he only does no gi so he doesn’t have to wear the belt.
I share some ideas for “Bob” in the video and if you’re experiencing a similar issue I hope it helps you as well.
Also, here’s the video about how I gave up my Purple Belt mentioned in the video:

Rener and Ryron were invited to present the SafeWrap system at the 2025 APPA (American Probation and Parole Association). To start they called two volunteers officers out of the crowd to arrest Rener and after that, Rener and Ryron demonstrated how the SafeWrap system can be used to achieve the goal in less time and with lower risk of injury.
After the presentation, audience members were given a chance to experience the SafeWrap system first hand. Not a single person escaped, everyone got handcuffed, no one got injured.
SafeWrap is a proprietary system of 2-on-1 restraint that requires a license for institutional use in order to ensure licensed organizations provide certain minimum annual training to end-users.
SafeWrap instructor certification can be achieved in any GST Level 2 instructor course or in the standalone 2-day SafeWrap instructor course. Learn more at http://www.SafeWrapSystem.com

In today’s video, me and my student @brandonreed3x talk about transitioning from Wrestling to BJJ.
We’ll discuss what Wrestlers need to let go of to excel in Jiu-Jitsu, how competition differs, and how Wrestlers can speed up their progress to have more success in the sport of grappling.
Brandon and I come from Wrestling backgrounds, so we thought it’d be a good topic of discussion.
This is only part 1 of this series. So be on the lookout for the second half.
Thanks for watching.
