In the much-anticipated 50th episode of “Rolled Up”, Budo Jake ventures to OC Judo to hone his skills under the tutelage of none other than the esteemed 6th degree black belt, Juan Montenegro. As the training ensues, the conversation naturally drifts towards the fascinating and ever-evolving world of martial arts.

The duo delves into the crucial aspect of balance between standing techniques and ground techniques, a topic that has sparked numerous debates within the community. Juan Montenegro sheds light on his experience and imparts invaluable wisdom about the importance of mastering both, as they complement each other and form the foundation of a well-rounded fighter.

As the training progresses, the two delve into the equally important concept of leaving one’s ego at the door. Juan Montenegro emphasizes that ego has no place in martial arts, and that humility is an essential trait for any practitioner.
