Recently I’ve received a lot of questions from new coaches who are moving into the new phase of their BJJ which requires them to coach and teach others. So with that, I figured I’d do some videos specifically for coaches in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

Today’s video is answering the question I’ve received from new coaches who are curious if there is any 1 mistake that I see new coaches make in BJJ.

So in the video I address the most common mistake I see coaches make in BJJ (new or otherwise).

Hopefully after the video you’ll worry less about being impressive and more focused on being effective to the students.

In today’s video I finally answer a question that I’ve been asked tons of times over the years. And that question is about how to do BJJ if you have a rib injury. I never had a good answer for rib injuries because it’s not something I had much experience with as a coach or an athlete.

Well, over the past 2 years 1 of my Black Belts experienced an issue with a rib injury. And, he found away to work around it using 2 methods which I talk about in the video. And, surprisingly, after it was all said and done, he’s actually far better at Jiu-jitsu than he was before.

So, if you’re dealing with a rib injury then I hope this video is useful to you!
