Manica teve um AVC 12 anos atrás quando tinha 22 anos de Idade, por conta de um problema que tinha de má formação de veias no Cérebro. Hoje depois de várias cirurgias nosso campeão está se recuperando. Este momento me deixou emocionado, pois aqui vejo o Jiu Jitsu verdadeiro. Foco, força de vontade, perseverança, vontade de lutar. O Jiu Jitsu Ensinando que seus verdadeiros amigos são aqueles que continuaram do seu lado pra sempre, que te dão suporte e ânimo para enfrentar os desafios que a vida nos impõe. Também mostra o objetivo principal do Nosso esporte, que acima de medalhas, mostra o esporte que te prepara para as batalhas da vida, fazendo acordar o guerreiro que todos temos adormecido dentro de nós. Manica had a stroke 12 years ago when he was 22 years old, because of a problem he had of bad vein formation in the brain and he has battling with it ever since. This moment has thrilled me, our champion is coming back, and here I see the real Jiu Jitsu. Teaching that true friends are the ones who will be always standing by your side, giving you support and courage to face the challenges that life imposes. It also shows the main goal of Jiu Jitsu, which above medals, prepares us to face the battles of life. Awakening the warrior we all have within us. The sport who imposes self knowledge, teaches us how to overcome situations and face our fears.
