50/50 a powerful sweeping position, especially in no-gi where not many of those exist.
The downside is that when you sweep and come up from the 50/50, your opponent now as the same opportunity to sweep you back.

As wild and unorthodox as this may seem, it’s actually not that unrealistic if you’re already a heavy rubber guard player.

Tsukuri means “to build.” In other words, when doing this phase of a technique, you are building your throw. We often call this “fitting in” to a throw and that’s a good explanation as well. But by understanding that this is building phase of the throw after you have broken your opponent’s balance and posture (Kuzushi), you will do a better throw.
