If you struggle with your forward fold yoga pose, don’t despair! In this video, Adam Ellis will show some simple tips and tricks to help you improve your forward fold quickly and easily.
You’ll learn modifications to make the pose more accessible, and more!
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, these techniques will help anyone level up their forward fold! So tune in now for some super helpful tips that you can use both on and off the mat.
We’ll start with a basic forward fold, which is great for improving flexibility in your hamstrings and lower back. To begin, stand tall on your yoga mat with your feet hip-width apart. Reach forward and grab the top of one foot with both hands. Then slowly bend forward at the hips until you feel a gentle stretch in the back of your legs and spine. You can either keep the knee straight or slightly bent to get a deeper stretch. Hold this pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute before slowly releasing back up to standing position.
