Here, the man with the IQ of a frog, tries to teach a body lock pass on a supine opponent. It seems to never have occurred to him that if the opponents back is on the floor, it’s impossible to lock your hands underneath them. So instead, he just just asks his opponent to unrealistically sit up for absolutely 0 reason while playing a supine guard so his back is exposed off the floor. 😂 I’ll take “moves that’ll never work for 100, Alex”. Good news though, I have body locks that will actually work In my passing instructional, and am coming out with a body lock specific study soon. Moves that will work on someone who is not a compete moron 😂
after over one year of negotiations we partnered with @bjj.fanatics to create instructionals for their platform. I really wanted to create something that represents my evolution on the mat and displays not only the techniques that helped me to win 4 black belt world titles but the system and concepts that multiplies our success every year with new champions coming out of the art of jiu jitsu academy.
I taught distance concepts when playing on top and divided it in 3 different distances (far, medium and near) to create a easy breakdown of what you need to know to become better passing the guard. the almost 3 hours DVD has techniques, drills and concepts that will for sure change your vision when passing the guard, to make it more fun to watch I also narrate some of my sparring rounds with the students and competition footage from some of the AOJ champions.

This is one of the best arrest videos I’ve ever seen! The man who intervened trains BJJ and the combination of his technique AND his calm communication with both the officer and suspect is the stuff of legends!

Most cops appreciate help from civilians during challenging hands-on encounters. But before you intervene, consider the Triple-A protocol:
1. ASSESS the threat to the officer and to yourself. Is your help really needed? Is it even safe for you to intervene?
2 ASK permission to help and identify yourself to the officer. An officer has no way of knowing which team you’re on, so let them know you’re there to help and wait for explicit permission to help.
3. ACKNOWLEDGE the risks of intervention. There are safety risks and there are legal risks. Each jurisdiction has different laws regarding civilian intervention so make sure you know yours.
From this day forward (no past incidents), anyone who adheres to these guidelines who lawfully and safely intervenes, I’d like to reward your efforts with access to The 32 Principles, as long as your intervention is captured on camera OR verified by the officer involved. 🙏🏼

Gavin had a highlight of a day in Kids Grey NoGi and Challenger Division. He won Gi too but was beaten in the Challenger by a Yellow.
No special training. 3x per week, the school did Ashi sweeps. He REALLY liked that subject and took off with it!
