The body lock pass is a powerful passing style and highly effective. One method of shutting it down, and resulting in a great submission, is the Gogoclinch. This modification of an Omoplata / Gogoplata, is a strong frame from an angle that derails the trajectory and power of the body lock. Obviously, a properly timed and executed pass will be harder to counter, but this is an option, at least. Try it out.
