Cross chokes are a fantastic weapon in a BJJ practitioners arsenal. Yet so many of us abandon it. Why? well often because we believe they are ineffective. They are not! They are enormously effective. What I have found is that there are a few little mistakes or missing elements that need to be added to the cross choke game. When these are tightened up – the submission percentage goes through the roof. Give this a try guys. You are going to love it.

This is a basic pass…but it certainly does pay to watch with close attention. Because there are many elements that go into its execution. I also go into detail to a counter to this pass and this was taught to me by Jean Jacques Machado and oh wow! Is this ever cool. When you watch it…you might think, this is too difficult to do. But believe me, it’s far easier than you might think. And it places you in a very powerful position to execute any number of submissions from the triangle to other fun stuff. Check it out, guys.
