Discover the 4-Step Formula: The Fastest, Safest Way to Learn Jiu-Jitsu Over 40
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—or worse, forgotten a move halfway through a roll—you’re not alone. That’s exactly why we created the 4-Step Formula.
Built on the principles of Cognitive Load Theory (CLT), this method breaks every technique into four simple phases:
Grips. Control. Trap/Transition. Submission/Leverage.
No fluff. No confusion. Just clean, repeatable structure that works for white belts, black belts, and coaches alike.
In this video, you’ll learn why older grapplers (and smart instructors) are switching to this system—and how it helps you retain techniques faster, reduce injuries, and train with purpose.
Less thinking. More rolling. Better jiu-jitsu.
Watch now and make your training easier on your body—and your brain.

If you’re a BJJ White Belt, or even a young Wrestler, as you progress, you will run into THIS problem…
Today we’ve got a question from Ben.
He said:
“I’m 46 years old; my son and I are about 6 months into BJJ. My question, at the moment, is that I feel like my Jiu-Jitsu is regressing. I feel like I get compliments about my skill level and progression from upper belts, but there’s not a lot of White Belts in my gym, and lately, in my open rolls, I’ve felt very stagnant… I feel like I’m reacting to all the information… I don’t want this lack of confidence to rear its head in competition. (What do you recommend I do?)”
I’ll dive deep into overcoming stagnation in BJJ and more in this video.
Thanks for watching.
