I’ve been having a lot of fun doing fight breakdowns of my previous matches for www.RogerGracieTV.com || get 25% off via the link in my bio 👊🥋
Back in 2010 when I got my Black Belt and started to compete against the most experience fighters I remember I had a lot of trouble fighting on my feet, so I had to pull guard a lot, but it wasn’t that easy to sweep a experience opponent and I ended up losing a few fights because of that.
So because of those loses I realized that a fighter must be complete and I decided to focus on the my take down game, I knew if I started Judo it would take me years to be in a high level to compete against those Judo Black Belt Fighters, so that’s why I focused more on wrestling than Judo. I ended up creating my own #TakedownSystem , it’s a mix wrestling ,judo and Jiu Jitsu techniques that combined help me out a lot to be really efficient on my feet.
I am sharing a lot of my mindset, techniques and secretes in my last instructional with @bjj.fanatics and don’t worry because it’s not about being explosive or strong but always “FIGHTING SMART NOT HARD” mindset.
I hope you guys like it.

@bjj.fanatics ••••••

Rubber guard counter. Forcing a dilemma between back exposure if they stay turtled and a body lock pass if they fall to their back 🤔. IF you can force your way into half guard you can always play this dilemma assuming your opponent has rubber guard locked. I learned this from @garrytonon years ago and you can catch him hitting a back take in ebi that leads him to an eventual finish. @futurekimonos @toyotires @diamondbackcovers @baseblocks
